Fire Barrier

During Fire, temperatures around busway penetrating from wall/slab, can go up in excess of melting temperature of Material used for Housing, Conductors (e.g. Aluminum, Copper). Such excess temperatures can cause melting of enclosure and conductors, thus creating deformities/voids in sections (walls or slabs)
from where busways are passing through. These voids can allow, transfer of smoke and fire from one area to another, which can result in further damages/harms.

To curb such harmful situations, fire barriers have been recommended to prevent the propagation of fire, for a specified time, under fire conditions and same is verified by tests recommended in ISO834 Standard. Federal Busway Systems have been tested and certified for 120 Mins and 240 Mins Ratings by internationally renowned lab.
